Club Risiko; de jaren tachtig toen en nu covers the Utopian music underground of the 1980s, when artists dreamed of independence and inventing music that moved away from all the rock ‘n’ roll and blues cliché’s. The book focuses on six cities: Johannesburg, London, New York, Berlin, Amsterdam and Ljubljana.

The bands and artists that are covered include Crass, Einsturzende Neubauten, Laibach, The Ex, Sonic Youth, Koos – while the work of French film maker Leos Carax is used as the glue to bring it all together. Club Risiko contains extensive interviews with underground icons such as Paul Riekert, Nick Zedd, Richard Kern, Victor Bockris, Lee Ranaldo, Blixa Bargeld, Alex Hacke, N.U. Unruh, Steve Ignorant, Penny Rimbaud, Ivan Novak, Dejan Knez, Terry Ex, G.W. Sok, Marcel van Heerden and Steve Lake.

Club Risiko was published in 2006 by Nijgh & Van Ditmar and was nominated for a Gouden Uil, a Belgian prize for literary non-fiction.
